The Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences Library is the department of the University. It functions under the
resolution of the Government of Lithuanian Republic, Libraries Law of Lithuanian Republic,
Statute of the University, resolutions of Senate, orders and regulations of the Rector.
The main tasks of the Library:
- to take part in education and to increase the bibliographical
reading abilities of high qualified future teachers for Lithuanian schools,
- to provide readers with necessary printed materials, documents and information, to analyze the need of
information and improve its quality.
The LEU Library is located in two places:
- the Central building of the University – Studentř st. 39 (the main departments of the library, stocks, reading rooms),
- the Second building of the University – T. Đevčenkos st. 31 (The Branch Library for Humanities).
